Location: HMP Fosse Way, Leicester

Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (possibility of some evening/weekend hours)

Salary: Up to £30,600 per annum (Dependent on experience)

Milton Keynes College are recruiting for an Employment Co-ordinator to join the Education team at HMP Fosse Way in Leicester. As an Employment Co-ordinator, you will be working with a range of partners to produce successful progression into work for students. Partners will include College staff, external training providers, Serco staff, employers and students. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to make a difference to the lives of students, and support the vision and mission of the college. A key part of the role will be to work with external training providers, regional and national employers to liaise with them to place students into training and employment opportunities. You may have experience in recruitment or employer engagement and be looking to develop your skills whilst working in a prison/secure environment.

ABOUT HMP FOSSE WAY

HMP Fosse Way is a Category C super prison, holding in excess of 1700 adult male sentenced offenders. The prison operates an offence neutral approach to rehabilitation and is privately operated by Serco. HMP Fosse Way's focus is firmly fixed on reducing reoffending and preventing future victims of crime by preparing offenders for their release through accredited intervention programmes, skill and vocational based training and education, in a pro social environment. Courses at HMP Fosse Way include Maths, English, IT, Bricklaying, Carpentry, Fork-Lift, Barbering, Business Mentoring, and much more. The education delivery hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am - 11.15am, 1:30pm - 4:15pm, with staff working on-site 8:10am - 4:40pm each day. Class sizes typically range from 12 learners in classrooms to 17 learners in workshops. The site offers free parking, with South Wigston Train Station located within walking distance. Staff facilities include a bistro, coffee shop, gym and electric car charging points.
