The Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Joiner to join their team. As a Joiner, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling wooden structures, such as cabinets and furniture, as well as operating machinery within the warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience working with hand and power tools, the ability to read and interpret drawings, and general workshop skills. Experience with a spindle moulder machine and sliding table saw is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Assemble wooden components using screws, nails, or adhesives
- Install hardware, such as hinges and handles
- Sand and finish surfaces for smoothness
- Repair or replace damaged wooden structures
- Operate Spindle Moulder Machine and Sliding Table Saw
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and painters
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work area
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Joiner or similar role
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Experience with Spindle Moulder and Sliding Table Saw
- Knowledge of woodworking techniques and materials
