Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Finance for our Broadband, Building & Campus (BBB&C) segment. Reporting directly to the CFO and with a strong dotted line to the SVP of BBB&C, this role will provide financial leadership to a ~$3 billion revenue segment. The VP will collaborate with executive leadership and the BBB&C senior management team to develop strategic visions, operating plans, and forecasts that support profitability and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team and act as a strategic partner to the CFO and President of BBB&C.
- Develop an investment thesis that aligns BBB&C’s product and service suite with CommScope’s overall strategy.
- Oversee the development of strategic and operating plans, considering opportunities, funding, CAPEX requirements, and cash needs.
- Ensure the attainment of profit optimization objectives in line with CommScope NEXT Transformation initiatives.
- Create and manage KPIs to highlight challenges and opportunities across BBB&C sub-units.
- Simplify, track, and report on key performance metrics.
- Foster productive relationships with segment leadership, functional support teams, and CommScope executive leadership.
- Manage the financial planning process, including annual budgets, monthly and quarterly forecasts, and performance dashboards.
- Identify and implement actions to address variances in budgets, forecasts, and plans.
- Lead the financial reporting process (monthly, quarterly, annually).
- Present financial plans, actual results, and analyses to leadership.
- Oversee the development of financial talent within the segment.
- Continuously improve processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of financial leadership experience, including roles within larger public or private equity-owned companies.
- Extensive experience in global manufacturing companies, ideally known for financial strength.
- Proven financial leadership in businesses with global sales and international operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the potential for future senior finance roles.
- Expertise in financial planning and analysis tools, GAAP, and SOX standards.
- Ability to function in a matrixed, decentralized organization and drive top-line growth and cost reduction.
- Strong people development skills and the ability to build and lead high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
