Kenect Recruitment is looking to hire an experienced Upholstery Technician for a temp-perm position in Atherstone!
The Company: Our client is a specialist healthcare equipment manufacturer and distributor. They have been distributing medical seating for the past 17 years. Formed in 2008, they specialize in producing hospital chairs.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Thursday: 07:00 am to 16:30 pm
- Friday: 07:00 am to 13:00 pm
Salary: GBP13.30 per hour plus holiday pay accrual at 12.07%
The Role: The primary focus of this role is upholstery. Key responsibilities include:
- Upholstery work
- Experience in upholstery (preferably medical or automotive seating)
- Gluing and assembling of foam cushions
- Stretching, stapling, and trimming of medical upholstery (no sewing)
- Assembling medical chairs and furniture
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including drills, band saws, air guns
- Quality checking to a high standard
- Preparing furniture for dispatch
Additional Responsibilities:
- Involvement in the manufacturing process from start to finish of medical furniture; the work can be varied
- Quality control checking of upholstered items / furniture
This role is fast-paced and physically demanding due to lifting products such as steel frames and plastic moulded backings. The focus will be on upholstery and assembling the finished frames and upholstery parts, so any experience in medical or automotive upholstery would be beneficial.
