Job Description

Our client, a leading international academic publishing company, is currently looking for a research integrity assistant to work closely with their Publishing Ethics & Integrity team across a variety of STM journals.

Key responsibilities:

• Work closely with the team to drive research integrity investigations
• Check articles for integrity of authorship, content, data, and key ethics statements
• Assist the ethics team with contacting authors and assessing files requested from authors
• Identify experts to provide advice on specific articles as required
• Organise post-publication notices in collaboration with the ethics and editorial teams
• Handle confidential information with sensitivity, considering legal and ethical implications

Qualifications

• Research background in a relevant discipline
• Editorial experience in assessing scientific manuscripts for quality and integrity
• Strong understanding of research methods and practices
• Awareness of global research and publishing ethics issues
• Knowledge of journal editorial standards
• Experience in project management
• Strong numerical and verbal reasoning skills
