We are recruiting 2 highly ambitious and qualified Senior Residential Youth Workers to join our client's successful and experienced staff team at a children's residential care home in Northampton.
Candidates should ideally have at least 6 months of experience in a similar setting and possess a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a qualification of comparable or higher standing.
You will work with young people aged 11 to 18 who are in the care system for various reasons, with a range of disorders, behaviours, and needs. We seek individuals who have the confidence, understanding, patience, and skill set to work effectively with young people and positively influence their lives.
This role involves providing guidance, interaction, and support to children and young adults in residential care, aiming to create a safe environment that addresses their intellectual, spiritual, social, and emotional needs.
You will support the children and young people throughout the day with tasks such as meal preparation, social activities, family contacts, education, and shopping.
We are looking for positive role models who are flexible, reliable, and interactive, and who are eager to work within a specialist environment.
Applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check as part of the recruitment process and participate in a paid five-day training program. This is a permanent position with opportunities for future career development. The role is based on a 38-hour week and includes sleep-in duties and occasional weekend shifts.
