This job opportunity is for a Freelance Senior Interior Designer (Client side) located in London (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office). The day rate is £250-£375 DOE, with an ASAP start on ongoing project work.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a globally renowned hospitality group, known for delivering some of the most exciting and design-forward hotels and restaurants around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to work on international hospitality projects across London, Europe, and the US, with plans to expand into Asia in 2026.
About the Role:
As a Senior Interior Designer, you will take ownership of hospitality projects from initial concept to completion. Working closely with a dynamic internal team, you will be instrumental in crafting spaces that blend narrative, culture, and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead high-end hospitality design projects with minimal oversight
- Create design concepts, mood boards, spatial layouts, and storyboards
- Produce detailed technical drawing packs using AutoCAD
- Model spaces and communicate ideas using SketchUp
- Develop polished presentation materials in Adobe InDesign
- Source and specify FF&E from concept to final details
- Collaborate with contractors, lighting designers, and consultants
- Review construction drawings and give technical feedback
- Attend site and client meetings as required (primarily London-based)
What We’re Looking For:
- A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Interior Architecture
- 5+ years’ experience in a top-tier design studio focused on hospitality
- A standout portfolio of restaurants and hotel projects
- Deep knowledge of materials, finishes, and international trends
- Confident in client presentations and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong supplier and FF&E network
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong spatial planning ability
Required Software Skills:
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign essential)
- Experience with rendering software (nice to have)
This is a freelance contract with ongoing potential for the right designer. Hybrid working - 3 days per week in the London studio is required.
