JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a fantastic, long-established Bradford business who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant for a 6-month FTC. This is a fantastic, newly-created role, joining a business in real ascendancy, having grown organically and through acquisition and leading the way in their field. There is real emphasis on staff retention within the business, with an exceptionally low staff turnover.
Working in a team of five and reporting into the accounts supervisor, this is a busy role that has significant focus on ledger management, overseeing all transactional duties incorporated within. You will be confident and hardworking, able to work autonomously, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines. You will have a proficient level of finance experience looking for that next step in your career or someone with a good working finance history, looking for a new and exciting challenge in a company that values its employees.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Processing purchase invoices on to the system
- Posting an array of cashbooks and reconciling the bank
- Raising BACS and cheque payments
- Writing and issuing of cheques
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Credit control
- Posting and allocating cash on to Sage
- Posting and reconciling transactions
- Ledger reconciling at month-end
- Making card payments
- Ad hoc accounts duties expected within a small team
In return, there is a superb remuneration package; hours of work are 35 hours per week with the company being strong advocates of a healthy work/life balance. Salary on offer is dependent on experience but in the region of £26,000 - £27,000 + discretionary Christmas bonus. 27 days holiday + bank holidays, life insurance, private medical, pension scheme up to 9% employer contribution, death in service, gym membership, plus more.
