An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Machinist to join a forward-thinking and dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, enjoys problem-solving, and brings a strong background in CNC machining. You will operate both milling and turning machines using a ProtoTRAK CNC system. Your work will contribute to key fabrication and offshore projects, with a mix of bespoke one-off pieces and repeat production runs.

  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday 39 hours - 7am to 3.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7am to 2.30pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling and turning machines using ProtoTRAK or similar control systems
  • Interpret engineering drawings to manufacture components to precise specifications
  • Set up machines, select tooling, and make necessary adjustments
  • Conduct in-process inspections to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient workshop environment

Skills/Experience Required

  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience in a CNC machining role
  • Proven experience in CNC machining, ideally across both milling and turning
  • Confident using ProtoTRAK or similar CNC control systems
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Self-motivated and able to work well independently and within a team
  • Adaptable, proactive, and capable of problem-solving in a fast-paced setting
  • Solution-oriented, with a focus on meeting client requirements efficiently and effectively
