We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Heating/Heat Pump Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient and high-quality installation, servicing, and repair of heat pump systems in domestic properties. This is an exciting opportunity for a willing engineer in the Shropshire or Staffordshire area to join a growing business.
Responsibilities
- Installation: Install air source heat pumps in residential properties. Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and manufacturer guidelines.
- Servicing and Maintenance: Carry out routine maintenance and servicing of heat pump systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify potential issues and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Breakdown and Repairs: Respond promptly to breakdown calls, troubleshoot and repair faulty systems efficiently. Diagnose issues such as electrical faults or performance inefficiencies. Ensure a high first-time fix rate to minimise inconvenience to the customer.
- Customer Interaction: Provide clear, professional communication to customers about the work being carried out, any issues found, and how they are being resolved. Offer advice on system usage and energy efficiency.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of heating systems.
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, Heating, or equivalent qualification.
- Experience and/or interest in air source heat pumps preferred but not essential.
