Senior Consultant (Architecture and Engineering)

Role Overview

This role involves working across both commercial and delivery activities. You will be shaping solutions, guiding clients, and helping us grow Perform Partners through excellent work and strong relationships. Your expertise will assist clients in reaching their goals.

This role is suitable for someone confident working independently but who also knows when to collaborate with others.

SFIA Level 5 – Ensure and Advise

This is a SFIA responsibility Level 5 role. You will work under broad direction, take ownership of your work, and provide expert guidance. You are trusted to deliver outcomes and support others in doing the same.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with potential clients to understand their needs and develop effective solutions.
2. Support commercial efforts, including scope definition and pricing.
3. Utilize your technical expertise to guide clients and colleagues.
4. Lead on delivery for client engagements, offering advice, designing solutions, and executing plans.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong DevOps experience with a transition into architecture, and willingness to engage hands-on when needed.
• Understanding of engineering practices and delivery standards.
• Experience leading DevOps initiatives from start-up environments.
• At least 2 years\’ experience in an architecture role.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, preferably with hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with other Cloud platforms such as Azure, GCP, VMware, Nutanix.
• Possession of an AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification at Associate or Professional level.
• Experience with pricing, scoping, and commercial models.
• Previous consultancy experience is advantageous but not essential.

Recruitment Process

1. CV review.
2. Initial 30-minute Teams call with Head of Consultancy and Principal Consultant.
3. Face-to-face interview in Horsforth, including a 100-day plan presentation and a task.
4. Potential final interview if multiple candidates are suitable.
