My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant in London.

Qualifications:

  • Strong academic background with a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, or Environmental Modelling
  • Experience in flood risk assessments

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with drainage strategies
  • An interest in climate change and nutrient neutrality

Role Overview:

Join a specialist flood risk team to work on residential, retail, industrial, renewable energy, and climate change projects for public and private sector clients and insurance companies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Flood Risk Assessments
  • Perform Flood Risk Due Diligence for Real Estate
  • Use ReFH and Winfap for Flood Estimation
  • Analyze Rainfall, Weather, and Wildfire Data
  • Prepare Hydrology and Environmental Chapters for EIAs
  • Carry out Nutrient Neutrality Assessments
  • Develop Property Flood Resilience strategies
  • Create Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications
  • Contribute to bid proposals and tenders
  • Manage projects effectively
  • Engage in client meetings to discuss project development
