Senior Flood Risk Consultant – London

My client, a specialist UK-based Engineering and Environmental Consultancy, is seeking a Senior Flood Risk Consultant in London.

Qualifications: Strong academic background with a MSc and/or BSc in Hydrology, Geography, or Environmental Modelling, and experience in flood risk assessments.

Desirable Skills: Experience with drainage strategies, and an interest in climate change and nutrient neutrality.

Role Overview: Join a specialist flood risk team to work on residential, retail, industrial, renewable energy, and climate change projects for public and private sector clients and insurance companies.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct Flood Risk Assessments.
2. Perform Flood Risk Due Diligence for Real Estate.
3. Use ReFH and Winfap for Flood Estimation.
4. Analyze Rainfall, Weather, and Wildfire Data.
5. Prepare Hydrology and Environmental Chapters for EIAs.
6. Carry out Nutrient Neutrality Assessments.
7. Develop Property Flood Resilience strategies.
8. Create Drainage Strategies and SAB Applications.
9. Contribute to bid proposals and tenders.
10. Manage projects effectively.
11. Engage in client meetings to discuss project development.
