We’re recruiting on behalf of a construction material manufacturer who are looking for a CAD Technician to join a fast-paced, supportive, and high-performing technical team in Ipswich.
About the Role
This exciting opportunity involves producing technical design drawings, reviewing technical documentation, and carrying out technical calculations for specialist flat roof systems. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver high-quality solutions, while staying up to date with building regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing and reviewing technical design drawings and documentation
- Liaising with clients and technical managers
- Supporting with drainage, thermal, and wind load calculations
- Keeping up to date with flat roofing systems and regulations
- Providing general admin and technical support across the department
Requirements
- CAD experience (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
- Good computer literacy and communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- A technical, logical mindset and team-oriented approach
- Background in construction, architecture, or similar (flat roofing experience is a plus)
