Come and join us as a Driver and Warehouse Assistant on a flexible hours basis to help us grow, deliver sales, and exceed customer expectations.
The role:
- As a Driver and Warehouse Assistant, you’ll be committed to delivering an outstanding level of service.
- You’ll be professional, driven, and enthusiastic.
- The role reports into the branch management team and involves providing the highest level of service to internal and external customers, delivering products to meet tight deadlines.
- You will also assist in the warehouse and may be customer facing, serving on the trade counter and dealing with customers over the telephone to maximize sales and service quality.
- You will be contracted to a set minimum number of hours per week and should be flexible to work additional hours, especially during peak winter heating seasons.
- Hours and shifts will be scheduled with notice, and we promote an inclusive team environment.
Please note, this role requires a valid driving license and previous driving experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Health and safety of yourself and your vehicle
- Vehicle maintenance and condition
- Reporting issues or incidents to your line manager
- Compliance with transport laws and regulations
- Handling stock and deliveries
- Supporting sales targets with the Branch Manager and Assistant Branch Manager
- Maintaining high standards and providing excellent customer service
- Supporting branch duties such as serving on the trade counter and telesales
- Maintaining housekeeping standards in the trade and warehouse areas
You:
- Along with a clean driving license, previous warehouse and driving experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of our industry’s products is advantageous.
- You should be flexible, customer-focused, and committed to supporting your team and delivering excellent service.
