Our client, a specialist in fire, safety, and security systems, is actively seeking a Maintenance/Warehouse Operative to join their close-knit, professional team in Bromsgrove. About the Role:
This is a varied and hands-on position with real purpose. You will be responsible for maintaining buildings, grounds, tools, and equipment, while also supporting warehouse operations and company exhibitions. The role suits someone who enjoys physical work, taking ownership of tasks, and working as part of a dedicated team.
Core responsibilities:
- General property and building maintenance: carpentry, tiling, painting, basic plumbing, rewiring (training provided)
- Grounds upkeep: landscaping, litter clearance, external repairs, CCTV cleaning
- Tooling and equipment safety checks (training provided)
- Supporting warehouse functions: picking, container unloading, stock take
- PAT testing and maintaining maintenance logs
- Assembling and delivering exhibition stands (includes some UK travel with overnight stays which is fully covered by the client)
- Maintenance of company van and staff accommodation for clients and visitors
- Health & Safety audits, contractor inductions, and risk assessments
- Engaging in regular job-specific training and skills development

Ideal Candidate – Ex-Military Background:
This role suits former military personnel with experience in Royal Engineers, REME or similar from the RAF or Royal Navy with facilities, and or vehicle/equipment maintenance. And the ability to work independently while remaining accountable to team objectives and at the same time adhering to SOPs, health and safety, and structured maintenance routines.
What’s on Offer:
- Up to £35,000 basic salary

- Christmas shutdown (using leave)

- Pay review after successful probation
