To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Swimming Co-ordinator to join our team.
In the role of Swimming Co-ordinator you will implement and control on-site administration, contributing to the operation and development of the Swimming Lesson programme and have responsibility for the safety and skill advancement of the pupils in your care.
On a day to day basis your duties will include:
- Assisting with objectives to increase the number of participants for the swimming lesson programme.
- Delivering marketing materials with regards to current and forthcoming swimming lesson offers.
- Inputting/updating computerised swimming lesson booking system.
- Assessing Swim teachers to ensure compliance with teaching/administration processes.
- Instructing individuals/groups in line with the Learn to Swim scheme for swimming or other aquatic activities.
- Providing schemes of work and lesson plans.
- Promoting and supporting the swimming lesson scheme.
You will help in facilitating a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent training and development opportunities, as well as a free membership to our leisure centres.
To be considered for this role you will need to hold either a STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (Previously ASA) Level 2, National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches. It’s desirable but not essential that you hold a qualification in water safety/lifesaving (NPLQ).
You will have excellent customer service skills as you’ll be interacting heavily with our customers and your team of Swimming Teachers. You’ll be a people person who is happy dealing with people of all ages and backgrounds.
Lastly, you will have good basic finance, IT, and clerical/administrative skills and extensive and up to date knowledge of current swim teaching practices and safety requirements for management of swimming lessons.
