Overview: The EES business unit specializes in real-time embedded systems, focusing on safety-critical control systems. We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers to join our growing team, working initially in a hybrid setup at the client site in Rochester (Kent). This role is suitable for both permanent staff and contractors (Outside IR35), with travel to the client site required.
Responsibilities:
- Systems Engineering
- Requirements and Use Case analysis
- Concept assessment and design trade studies
- System architecture design and functional modeling
- Performance assessment and systems behavior analysis
- Verification, Validation, and Certification
- Model-based engineering techniques, including MBSE
Project and Program Experience (desirable):
- Defense Sector
- Marine Sector
- Fleet Operations
- Modifications and configuration management
- Bid Management
Qualifications:
- Incorporated or Chartered Engineer, or progress towards PEI registration
- Experience in Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environments
Essential Skills:
- Requirements definition and management
- Verification, Validation, and Certification experience
- Ability to decompose conceptual models into sub-systems and components
- Effectiveness in early-stage projects with ambiguity
