Salary: £12.37 per hour (£13.50 per hour for qualified staff) (3 on 3 off shift pattern)

Exceptional Care are seeking individuals to support young people on a 1:1 or 2:1 staffing ratio, in a residential setting in Rainford.

Exceptional Care is a therapeutic children’s service providing care and support to children and young people aged 8-17, from complex backgrounds, who display challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties. The service is an independent social care organisation with multiple residential units across the whole of the North West.
Exceptional Care believes that consistency in care is paramount to children/young people with complex needs; to this end we are committed to developing and maintaining good communicative relationships with the child/young person. Exceptional Care uses a systemic therapeutic approach to support the nurture and care of our children, rooted in attachment theory and using trauma-informed approaches.

Successful Candidates
- Level 3 or 4 Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent – or willing to work towards
- 1 year’s experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence - preferred
Your Role As a Residential Child Care Worker
You will have the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people, and help towards the bright future they deserve; attending to their practical, physical and emotional needs while safeguarding each young person at all times.
You will provide a high standard of care and support, in a professional manner, to vulnerable young people, with challenging behaviour and emotional behavioural difficulties. You will develop a good working relationship with both children and young people and other outside agencies, and be the person that each child can trust through building positive relationships.
You will be part of a team who work together to create a loving, stable environment to ensure each young person is achieving positive outcomes and learning experiences.
