The Role:

  • Managing incoming customer orders and enquiries from business clients
  • Preparing and issuing accurate quotations based on specifications
  • Negotiating pricing and terms when required, within company guidelines
  • Processing and tracking orders from start to finish with precision and care
  • Maintaining regular contact with existing customers to build strong, ongoing relationships
  • Reaching out to customers who haven't ordered in a while, identifying opportunities to re-engage
  • Liaising with warehouse, logistics, and other internal teams to ensure timely fulfilment
  • Confidently working with numbers on a daily basis, including pricing, order quantities, and calculations
  • Resolving customer issues efficiently, with a professional and friendly approach

The Person:

  • Previous experience in sales administration, order processing, or customer account management is essential for this position
  • Confident handling numerical tasks and working with pricing, data, and quotations
  • Confident and professional phone manner is essential; you'll be expected to handle incoming calls, take accurate messages for colleagues, and transfer calls internally. Most customers prefer speaking over the phone, so this is a key part of the role
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with business customers
  • Candidates must be confident using the phone
  • Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail, especially when working with customer specifications and figures
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential

This role is 100% office-based, Monday to Friday.
