Job Responsibilities:
- Using machinery to prepare materials (e.g. slice, dice, chop).
- Speak English and be able to read notices, especially those relating to personal safety and food safety.
- Prepare and/or cook vegetables and sauces, and put together other mixes for production.
- De-box products and materials supplied from stores.
- Ensure correct colour code and part code labels are added to all containers holding food.
- Clean machinery after use or before changing to new products.
- Be able to learn the difference between similar food products.
- Report any instances where food may be put at risk.
- Work as part of a team; your job role will be rotated with others periodically.
- Keep all preparation areas clean and tidy at all times.
- Understand the need for accuracy in weighing materials.
- Comply with food safety rules in the factory.
- Comply with health and safety rules, not only for yourself but also in consideration of others.
- Carry out any other reasonable task that may be set from time to time.
- A degree of flexibility is required at the start and end of shifts to meet the needs of the business.
