Liquid Personnel is seeking an experienced Adult Social Worker to join the Mental Health Team of our esteemed client in Derby. Candidate needs to be eligible to work in the UK. This role involves working within both community and hospital settings to conduct social care assessments, develop care plans, and support adults with mental health needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Care Assessments: Conduct thorough social care assessments to identify the needs of adults with mental health issues, in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Care Plans: Develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual mental health needs, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Mental Health Support: Provide support and interventions to adults experiencing mental health difficulties, promoting recovery and well-being.
  • Safeguarding Enquiries: Undertake safeguarding enquiries to protect adults at risk, following the guidelines of the Care Act 2014.
  • Caseload Management: Manage a caseload, ensuring timely and effective support for each client.
  • Hybrid Working: Operate in a hybrid model, working both from home and various sites as required.
  • Mental Capacity Assessments: Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments as required, in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Mental Health Act Responsibilities: Apply the principles and provisions of the Mental Health Act 1983 (amended 2007) in your practice, including supporting clients through the process of detention and treatment under the Act.
  • Continuing Health Care: Undertake Continuing Health Care checklists and assessments as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Professional Qualification: A recognised professional qualification in social work, such as an MA, BA, BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or CQSW (Certificate of Qualification in Social Work).
  • Registration: Must be registered with Social Work England, the regulatory body for social workers in England.
  • Experience: Significant experience in mental health social work within the last year.
  • Knowledge of Legislation: Thorough understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Skills: Strong assessment and analysis skills, good IT skills with knowledge of Mosaic, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Driving Licence: A full UK driving licence and access to a car are required for client visits.
