We are looking for an experienced Diesel Fitter to join a family-owned business that has been operating for over 50 years specialising in bulk earth works for large property re-development and building pads for major industrial and commercial sites.
Working as part of a small team, this role will be responsible for undertaking diagnostic, repair and preventive maintenance on a fleet of heavy machinery including Moxy Trucks, Dozers, Graders and Excavators. The role is a permanent position based locally in the Ipswich area, attracting a company vehicle and opportunity for overtime on top of salary.
You will need to show an ability to work as part of a team, work safely and efficiently, and be flexible in fixing a wide range of varying issues from day to day.
What we’re looking for:
- Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and mechanical components
- Experience in CAT mobile plant equipment (D6, D7, D8, 730, 740, 615, 623)
- Own tools required and HR Truck licence (desirable)
- Proficiency in using machining tools such as lathes and milling machines
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Contactable references from past supervisors
