Employment solutions are looking for an experienced CNC Tool Maker, based in the Accrington area. A well-established engineering firm, based in the Northwest of England, offers over 8,000 square feet of production space. With a dedicated R&D area for the development of RF Welding Products and advanced machining capabilities, the company serves a broad range of industries, providing innovative technical solutions across Medical, Automotive, Aerospace, Packaging and others.
This role would suit a skilled and experienced Toolmaker who thrives in a hands-on engineering environment. Key Responsibilities- Operate manual and CNC machinery (such as milling, turning, grinding)
- Assemble, repair and maintain tools in line with technical drawings and specifications.
- Use precision instruments including micrometers and vernier callipers to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Diagnose issues and perform repairs or modifications to optimise tool performance.
- Collaborate with the wider team to support production efficiency and resolve breakdowns.
- 4 Day working week: Monday to Thursday 7.30am till 5.30pm
- Overtime is sometimes available: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-7:30am, 5:30am-6:00pm; Fri: 8.00am-12:00pm
- Competitive hourly rate up to £17.50 (£33,000 to £36,000 annually)
- 28 days annual leave including bank holidays
- An Extra Day per year is awarded to a maximum of 5 days.
