CNC Machinists – Millers and Turners

  • Up to £19.66 per hour
  • Daytime Hours – 37 hours
  • 33 days holiday + Exc Benefits

Our client based in Nelson is an established company with an excellent reputation in the local industry. They have enjoyed a steady growth in clientele and have established a strong order book with a promising future. Due to continued growth, we are looking for Skilled and Semi-Skilled Machinists.

Key Duties Include:

  • Competent in setting a variety of milling and/or lathe machines
  • Self-inspect tools to drawings prior to final inspection
  • De-burr tools to remove sharp edges
  • Recording of work information/data to help monitor costing and efficiency
  • Multi-man between machines
  • Ensure traceability is always maintained on the appropriate Tools, Materials & Paperwork
  • Complete first line maintenance on machine i.e., remove swarf, check safety features, keep oil and coolant topped up

To be considered for this position the successful candidate must have:

  • Engineering Qualifications to support experience
  • General engineering experience with regards to Turning, Milling and Grinding
  • Collaborate with other team members to optimise production processes
  • A logical approach to problem solving/troubleshooting
  • Experience of Fanuc & Heidenhain controls
