ADAS, part of the RSK Group, is seeking a Senior Climate Resilience Consultant on a full-time permanent basis, with hybrid home and office working available from the ADAS Boxworth office near Cambridge. As a Senior Climate and Resilience Consultant, you will work with clients from government, the food supply chain, and other sectors to support increasing climate resilience and understanding climate risks in agricultural food supply chains, as well as supporting projects across other sectors including public bodies. Your work will involve climate change risk assessments, TCFD/ISSB reporting, and transition plan development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop tools for data collection, analysis, and interpretation supporting Climate Change Risk and Vulnerability Assessments.
- Provide consultancy input on climate resilience, adaptation, and mitigation projects within agriculture and land-based sectors.
- Create compliant reports with multidisciplinary teams.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, including facilitating workshops.
- Manage projects to ensure timely delivery within budget.
- Lead tenders and proposals to grow the consultancy work.
Person Specification:
- Postgraduate experience in UK agriculture or food production systems, or related consultancy experience, is advantageous.
- Experience leading climate resilience and adaptation services as a consultant.
- Degree or vocational qualification in Agriculture, Biology, Geography, or Environmental Science.
- Knowledge of UK climate datasets and reporting standards like TCFD, TNFD, ISSB.
- Experience in proposal writing and tender responses.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.
- Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full UK driving license and own transport (public transport access limited at the office).
