About the role
We are seeking an Operations Assistant for our Operations & Transport department. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing various operational tasks, including:
- Updating the internal diary system with daily movements
- Allocating vehicles and personnel
- Recording daily HOD calls on Excel spreadsheets
- Following up on stock and requirements with various departments
- Providing customer service via calls, emails, and spreadsheet updates
- Completing administrative work and filing
- Briefing and dispatching drivers, and conducting legal checks on drivers
- Supporting a team with previous experience in operations and logistics
- Working well under pressure and multi-tasking
- Possessing a Class One HGV license (preferred)
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and spreadsheets
- Being resourceful, organized, and proactive with a can-do attitude
- Working in a fast-paced, niche industry
