A leading global financial institution is seeking a Legal Contracts Negotiator to join its Belfast based team. This role involves negotiating and reviewing complex commercial contracts, including Master Agreements and key trading infrastructure documentation. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory policies while optimising risk management strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Negotiate and review legal agreements with external and internal clients.
- Interpret key commercial concepts from an array of trading agreements (including ISDA Master Agreements, Credit Support Annexes, Termination Agreements, Account Control Agreements, Electronic trading agreements and ancillary documentation) and incorporate into EMEA specific documentation, accounting for the necessary regulatory and/or jurisdictional changes where required.
- Collaborate with legal, risk, and business teams to align contractual terms with strategic priorities.
- Analyze and incorporate jurisdictional and regulatory considerations into trading agreements.
- Proactively identify and resolve legal and business risks associated with contract negotiations.
- Contribute to process improvements and the development of technology solutions that support contract management.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in negotiating commercial contracts, including ISDA Master Agreements.
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and risk management in a trading environment.
- Degree qualification in law (LLB, JD, or equivalent).
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with a detail-oriented approach.
- Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment.
