Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled and reliable Decking Installer to join our team. The role involves installing high-quality decking solutions at various locations across the UK. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with working away from home, sometimes for extended periods, and must hold a valid UK driving licence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of PVC and composite decking to a high standard.
- Reading and interpreting site plans and technical drawings.
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.
- Using power tools and hand tools effectively and safely.
- Working efficiently as part of a team to complete projects on time.
- Travelling to various job sites, often requiring overnight stays.
- Liaising with clients and site managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Previous experience in decking installation, carpentry, or a similar trade.
- Comfortable with working away from home as required.
- Strong understanding of construction techniques and materials.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
- Valid CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
