Overview: The Business Risk Controls Senior Manager will collaborate with the existing Technology 1LoD Operational Risk Management team, reporting to the Director, Operational Resilience - LSE plc and FX in Markets Engineering. They are responsible for assessing technical risks and working with control owners to ensure that key and non-key controls are designed and operated according to LSEG Group Technology standards, including risk assessments, reporting, and governance within the business division. The role will also ensure compliance with control frameworks such as COBIT 2019, NIST, and ITIL. Technical focus areas include vulnerability management and remediation across the control landscape, emphasizing tactical and strategic improvements. The role may also involve ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements like PS21/3 and DORA.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform first-line check-and-challenge for releases within the scope of LSE plc controls, ensuring the SONAR tool accurately reflects the risk profile.
- Guide control owners to enhance their skills, resulting in better controls over time.
- Identify gaps in existing standards, processes, or procedures due to upgrades or enhancements, and collaborate with control owners to implement remediations.
- Assess technology risks for the business and IT systems, tracking solutions and plans to address control gaps.
- Build strong partnerships across business units, central COO Technology, and risk teams to ensure consistent and high-quality delivery.
