Who we are looking for:

We are currently seeking a Finance Director for Atkore’s UK Region, based in West Bromwich, UK. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance for Cable Management & Protection, this role will oversee planning, forecasting, analysis, management reporting, accounting operations, and internal controls and compliance for the UK region. The Finance Director will also collaborate closely with the Managing Director of Atkore UK to support performance analysis, resource allocation decisions, and financial processes.

What you’ll do:

• Manage US GAAP and Local GAAP reporting (UK & Israel).
• Ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit controls.
• Lead forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning.
• Handle local tax and treasury requirements (UK & Israel).
• Oversee full P&L and Balance Sheet reporting, meeting monthly deadlines.
• Provide ad hoc analysis for GM and VP Finance.
• Manage all aspects of finance, treasury, and tax functions.
• Serve as the point of contact for external and internal auditors.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the business as a key leadership team member, focusing on growth and profitability.
• Report on European holding companies.

What you’ll bring:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or ACMA).
• Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage a large team.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of US GAAP, SOX, and Local GAAP.

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete your Atkore immersion program.
• Understand how your role supports Atkore’s strategy.
• Gain a clear understanding of the business and team you will support.

Within 6 months, you’ll:

• Ensure adherence to appropriate accounting and financial practices.
• Maintain the general ledger and related processes.
• Manage the monthly forecast process, including consolidation and analysis from sales, manufacturing, and support functions.
• Identify opportunities to reinforce Atkore’s core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect, and Excellence.

Within 12 months, you’ll:

• Lead and develop your team, recruiting and nurturing financial personnel to achieve departmental and business objectives.
• Provide financial analysis and planning support to the Managing Director and leadership team, focusing on revenue, gross margin, expenses, operating performance, and KPIs.
• Manage the annual budget process to align with strategic goals.
• Translate financial data into actionable insights for leadership.
• Partner with sales, operations, and plant leaders to meet performance targets.
• Assist with capital project financial justifications and audits.
• Ensure internal compliance with control standards and support audit processes.
• Lead initiatives to improve business processes and eliminate waste.
