Our client, a notable international law firm in London, is looking to hire an experienced Employment Lawyer at the Senior Associate/Counsel level for a 12 month assignment. The role is due to start ASAP and has arisen due to a high volume of work. The firm operates on a hybrid working basis, with Lawyers expected to be in the London office 3 days per week.
The employment team is ranked within the legal directories and is known for advising clients within the TMT, banking and financial services, and energy sectors across a full range of non-contentious, advisory, contentious and corporate support matters. Their clients range from public and private sector employers, small companies through to multinational groups. The team also advises C-suite and senior executives on a variety of complex matters. Notably, they are also adept in handling matters involving multiple jurisdictions.
The successful individual can expect to work across a varied caseload, working closely with Partners. It will be expected that the successful Lawyer will be comfortable in taking a lead role on client matters, whilst support will be available across the team. It is anticipated that the caseload will be a relatively even split between contentious and non-contentious/advisory work, with a small percentage being assigned to corporate support matters.
It is likely that the successful individual will:
- Be a qualified Lawyer in England & Wales
- Possess upwards of 6 years' PQE in handling a full range of employment law matters
- Have gained experience from another leading international firm, or ranked employment team within the City
- Be able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team
- Be able to demonstrate exceptional skills relating to client care
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Possess excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Have the ability to start a new role at short notice
