Our client is a water and civil engineering contractor with many years’ experience delivering world class projects across the UK and they are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor located in the West Midlands on contract basis / inside IR35. Our client is seeking a a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work for a multi-discipline principle contractor, must have a proven track record working in a similar role with a contractor. Career progression and stability of work on range of projects will be available. Some of the main duties for Senior Quantity Surveyor role include: • Ensure accurate and time efficient reporting of project • Update monthly CVR • Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate for the company • Identity commercial risks • Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions • Build and maintain good client relationships • Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting • Prepare applications for payment • Liaise with the client, client representatives and other third parties Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor: Essential Experience: • HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying • Strong computer literacy • Strong knowledge and experience with NEC3 or NEC4 forms of contract • Proven experience in the civil engineering and water sectors • Experience working for a contractor Desirable: • CSCS card • Member of RICS or working toward membership
