Optical Assistant (Group Support)
Egham TW20 9HN (covering practices in Ascot, Camberley, Guildford, Lightwater, and Sunninghill)
£25,708.80 to £26,644.80 FTE after our Front of House Development course + £3k car allowance

Role Overview

We are seeking a full-time Group Support Optical Assistant to join our team, covering practices in Egham, Ascot, Camberley, Guildford, Lightwater, and Sunninghill, for 5 days / 40 hours per week (9am – 5:30pm, Monday to Saturday).

As a Mobile Group Support Optical Assistant at Bayfields, an independent business, you\’ll support our practices during sickness and holiday cover. Your role involves greeting clients, understanding their needs, working closely with the team, and delivering excellent service. Experience in dispensing lenses and contact lenses, IT skills, and strong communication are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service.
• Assist customers in selecting optical products.
• Dispense single focus, multi-focal, and contact lenses.
• Manage appointments and bookings.
• Maintain displays and store tidiness.
• Handle administrative tasks such as payments and orders.

Candidate Requirements

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Full UK driving license & car.
• Interest in eye care and eyewear.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Experience in optical retail preferred.
