Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and manage air and ocean imports to ensure quality service and customer satisfaction.
• Align operations with market strategy, defining market potential and identifying key customers.
• Ensure operational and financial performance, aligning budget to market and reviewing financial results with teams.
• Collaborate with business development on local strategy and support key customers.
• Manage health, safety, and environmental areas, including compliance and training.
• Oversee the quote process, ensuring timely processing and accuracy, and negotiate with customers or providers.
• Manage vendor and third-party provider performance and relationships.
• Compute tariffs and manage pricing for merchandise exported to foreign destinations.
• Maximize profitability through superior customer service and effective communication.
• Manage all importor breakbulk transactions and ensure compliance with government programs.
• Ensure timely clearance and delivery of import cargo through Customs monitoring.
• Establish record keeping standards and oversee file maintenance.
