SITE MANAGER (Women’s RWC England 2025 LOC) CONTRACT YORK – 11 to 23 Aug & 7 to 12 Sep SALFORD – 11 to 23 Aug & 30 Aug to 4 Sep EXETER – 11 to 23 Aug & 14 to 19 Sep Women’s Rugby World Cup England 2025 (Women’s RWC 2025) will be the 10th edition of the women\’s tournament. World Rugby, in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) and UK Sport, have formed a Local Operating Company to plan and deliver the event. Ambitions for the tournament are at an all-time high as women’s rugby is one of the fastest growing team sports in the world. Women’s RWC 2025 will be the ultimate stage for the best players, teams and coaches from 16 nations across the globe and is set to be the biggest and most widely watched women\’s rugby event ever. RWC 2025 will see 16 teams compete, all of whom will hosted in a number of our 30 Team Bases. Each Team Base will consist of an outdoor training venue, indoor training venue, swimming pool, gym and a hotel. RWC 2025 will be appointing a Team Base Coordinator to each city to support the operations of the Team Bases within that city during the tournament. The position is a tournament time role; the focus of which is to ensure the facilities and services provided to Teams at the respective Team Base are of the highest possible standards, and are in line with the Rugby World Cup 2025 Terms of Participation. RWC 2025 is seeking a Site Manager to coordinate and manage the build and de-rig for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 at multiple match venues. LOCATIONS York Community Stadium, York – YO32 9AF Salford Community Stadium, Salford – M30 7EY Sandy Park, Exeter – EX2 7NN KEY DATES The role will include pre planning days including face to face meetings with the LOC Venue Development team in June/July (approx. 3 days) and all days on site during the build and de-rig (approx. 19 days). Coordination Meetings – June/July Build and de-rig YORK – 11 to 23 Aug & 7 to 12 Sep SALFORD – 11 to 23 Aug & 30 Aug to 4 Sep EXETER – 11 to 23 Aug & 14 to 19 Sep TASKS AND RESPONSIBILIITES Support the Venue Development and Venue Management teams in delivery of the temporary overlay for the RWC 2025, ensuring it aligns with the approved site plans, delivery schedules, and build timelines. Conduct regular inspections to ensure work is performed safely and meets quality standards. Issue permits to work, site hand over/hand back certificates in compliance with Match Venue site protocols and contractor agreements. Supervise the construction of all overlay and temporary structures (e.g. cabins, marquees, camera platforms, fencing etc.) to ensure adherence of contractor, clients and partners to agreed schedules, design drawings and compliance with RWC 2025 site rules, safe working practices and contractor agreements Safeguard the permanent infrastructure of the match venues from potential damage Report any incidents or damages promptly for further investigation or remedial works. Maintain a record of all snagging issues to be addressed by the overlay or tournament contractors. Collaborate with on-site security teams and traffic marshals to manage contractor deliveries and vehicle access. Take responsibility for ensuring the smooth operation of assigned areas and assist with administrative duties, including issuing accreditation. EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE Strong knowledge and application of CDM (Construction Design and Management) regulations within events and venues Familiarity in working alongside health and safey teams to monitor contractor works in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements. Experience in managing outdoor events on-site, preferably with in stadiums environments. Comfortable and skilled in working in public spaces, including event setups and licensed venues. Excellent observational abilities to spot potential hazards and anticipate necessary actions, particularly for weather-related events and activities. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills. Highly organized with strong planning capabilities. Ability to identify challenges and develop problem-solving solutions in high-pressure environments. A collaborative team player with effective leadership skills on-site.
