Job Overview

We are seeking to appoint an events coordinator from September 2025. This is a new role at King’s and offers an exciting opportunity to support the successful delivery of major events across the school. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and will collaborate with teaching staff and professional services staff to ensure events are coordinated and run smoothly. The role involves working closely with all stakeholders within the King’s community, including staff, pupils, visitors, and parents.

This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, term-time only.

Person Specification

  • GCSE Level Qualification or equivalent including English and Maths
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • Strong IT skills (including Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Forms) with willingness to learn other bespoke programs
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships quickly, good judgment and diplomacy when dealing with staff, parents, and pupils
  • Adaptability, flexibility, ability to prioritize, manage workload, and work independently
  • A proactive, positive attitude and willingness to take on tasks
  • Calmness, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Evaluative approach to events
  • Ability to act as mediator and manager as required
  • Willingness to work flexibly, including some weekends and evenings
  • Team player with a supportive attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in events coordination within a secondary school environment
  • Experience in a similar role or educational setting
  • Experience in graphic design
  • Experience with box office systems such as Spektrix (training provided if needed)
