E&P Engineer (LV Construction) Manchester £(Apply online only) per day (INSIDE IR35) 6 Month rolling contract Start 2/12/2024 Are you an experienced E&P Construction Engineer? Are you available for long term contract work? Do you have experience of Railway infrastructure? If you answered YES to these questions this could be the contract for you. I have a large Tier 1 Railway Contractor looking to take on a long term contractor who can plan and manage the installation of LV equipment – 650v, points heating, DNO’s, signalling power, Junction Lighting and some domestic level electrical kit in railway buildings. You obviously need experience of working on the Railway and a valid PTS. Through knowledge of railway M&E and E&P Installation. Must also have previously managed teams on site. Critical Responsibilities Delivering all aspects of the E&P works for the project on time and within budget. Help building a team to enhance the E&P teams capabilities in self delivery of projects Maintaining and improving the safety culture within the E&P team. Key Responsibilities: Health and safety Control and implement health, safety, quality and environmental requirements, supported by full briefing Contribute to Plan development with the Project Manager and Project Engineer Plan day to day requirements of the Project works Package to produce effective use of all resources to minimise snagging Leading an installation team, including subcontractors, suppliers, and 3rd parties, including implementation of the health, safety, environmental and quality standards into construction planning and works. Manage and coordinate with supervisors to ensure the works are raised and planned safely on site Organise suppliers and sub-contractors to achieve efficient integration into the Plan Oversee site compliance and construction process Assess and adequately mitigate all risks including those associated with working within the railway environment Ensure correct positioning/sequencing of plant and equipment for optimum use by on-site teams & personnel Creation of work package plans, task briefing sheets and management through to acceptance Working with all stakeholders to communicate what needs to be done and build up good relationships Management and compilation of BS7671 and other standard test results Creation of ITP’s to include safe switching, isolation and re-energisation procedures through to acceptance Shift reporting If you have the relevant experience as an E&P Construction Engineer and are available for long term contract work then send your CV and call me on (phone number removed)
