London Gatwick is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager to play a pivotal role in the implementation of our ambitious infrastructure investment plan. As Senior Procurement Manager , you will lead and develop our approach to capital procurement across high-value, complex construction programmes. You will drive excellence in safety, cost-effectiveness, quality, and sustainability, supporting transformative projects that enhance passenger experience and operational capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the Capital Programmes Supply Chain Strategy (SCS) aligned with investment plans and business goals.
- Approve procurement strategies and tender award recommendations for multiple construction projects.
- Oversee procurement activities across project and programme levels, ensuring consistency and compliance with governance standards.
- Engage with suppliers, managing risk, communication, and performance across approximately 100 suppliers.
- Lead framework procurement and negotiation processes, establishing responsibilities and controls.
- Promote best practice procurement, driving value, efficiency, and risk management.
- Build and lead a high-performing, inclusive procurement team fostering collaboration.
- Ensure compliance with NEC4 contracts, RIBA project lifecycle, and Gatwick\’s commercial standards.
What We\’re Looking For:
- A degree or equivalent experience in a commercial or construction field.
- Professional qualification such as RICS or IACCM; additional certifications like APM, Prince2, Lean are desirable.
- Leadership experience in capital procurement and contract management on large infrastructure projects.
- Extensive experience across the procurement lifecycle with strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Deep understanding of NEC4 contract forms and procurement of design, services, and construction.
- Successful track record in delivering complex procurements in regulated environments, achieving strategic and commercial objectives.
- A collaborative leader skilled in coaching, development, and fostering an inclusive team culture.
