Description: Provides support to the Mixologist and Bar Server by ensuring all bars are properly stocked with tools and product before service and replenishing supplies to multiple bars simultaneously as needed throughout service. Delivers technically proficient, efficient and personalized luxury beverage service. Primary bar of focus is the Employee Lounge, but this role also assists with guest facing bars regularly.

Essential Duties:

  • Setting up, cleaning, breaking down multiple bars and maintaining equipment, supplies, goods and all work areas in accordance with Brand and Public Health Standards, reporting any issues to leadership.
  • Anticipating the needs of Ladies and Gentlemen and guests by ensuring all supplies are readily available before and during service, maintaining a clean, safe and accident-free environment, and immediately responding to needs of all guests.
  • To know and adhere to all USPH cleaning standards ensuring the Guest Bars, Employee Bars and pantries of each bar are up to standard.
  • Transporting supplies and materials between Sculleries, Galleries and Restaurants and Bars.
  • Washing and polishing china, glassware, and all silver.
  • Assisting Bartenders with the preparation of juices, garnishes, syrups and other bar products as needed.
  • Emptying trash bins, sweeping, mopping, being responsible for the maintenance and provision of the cleaning & chemical lockers, maintaining general cleanliness of all Bars and Pantries.
  • Partnering with F&B Leadership to ensure adherence to sanitation and cleaning plan throughout all venues and proper preparation for internal and official Health and Cleanliness Inspections.
  • Providing service in a courteous and professional manner at all times.
  • Delivering requisitions for all bars. To be familiar with all provision areas and the most efficient ways to deliver supplies without passing through guest areas impacting the guest experience where applicable.
  • Assisting with inventory processes including requisitions and receiving.
  • Ensuring Compliance with Public Health and all Safety and Labor Regulation.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW) and flag certification for the duration of the contract and appropriate to position.
  • Good knowledge and experience in Public Health Rules and Regulations related to USPH and HACCP.
  • Previous Bar Utility experience in a five-star cruise restaurant environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The Lady or Gentleman must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be physically able to participate in emergency lifesaving procedures and drills. Full use and range of arms and legs as well as full visual, verbal and hearing abilities are required to receive and give instructions in the event of an emergency including the lowering of lifeboats. Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. All Yacht Ladies and Gentlemen must be able to communicate in the English language in order to understand and interpret written procedures. This includes the ability to give and receive instructions in written and verbal forms and to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests, supervisors and co-workers.
