Job Overview
Healthcare professionals are needed to provide medical services supporting the Military Treatment Facilities and Health Clinics within US Army Medical Command, Regional Health Command Europe, and other Department of Defense agencies, including US Navy and US Air Forces in Europe.
Qualifications
- Degree: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy.
- Education: Graduate from an ACPE-accredited college or university.
- Experience: One year of professional pharmacy experience post-graduation or at least three months of rotations in a U.S. military pharmacy prior to graduation.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted pharmacist license.
Responsibilities
- Perform a full range of pharmacist procedures.
- Deliver comprehensive pharmaceutical services within the facility's capabilities.
- Counsel patients on medication use.
- Review patient profiles during dispensing to monitor medication therapy.
- Ensure prescription accuracy regarding directions, dosage, interactions, allergies, age-specific dosing, and intervene when discrepancies are noted.
- Compound medications as needed.
- Supervise inventory control and ensure pharmacy security, especially for scheduled pharmaceuticals, maintaining proper records in accordance with regulations.
Support Status
This position qualifies for support under NATO Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) articles 72 or 73.
