SF Recruitment is currently recruiting for an interim Finance Assistant to support a business in Mansfield on an 18-month FTC.
Department: Finance
Contract type: Temporary - 18 months
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm (35 hours a week)
Role responsibilities include:
- Work with other Finance Assistants to achieve processing requirements of the Finance Department.
- Download the company's bank account information using Internet banking.
- Perform daily downloads, allocating customer receipts to accounts.
- Prepare and check journals for posting into the accounts system, including uploading from team members.
- Code, log, and batch supplier invoices for weekly payment runs.
- Produce accurate daily treasury worksheets.
- Check, prepare, and process treasury documentation.
- Carry out daily reconciliations on control accounts and the company's bank account.
- Liaise with other departments regarding transaction queries.
- Prepare controlled stationery for delivery to branches.
- Complete other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Candidate requirements:
- At least 3 years' experience working in a finance department.
- Experience performing various financial tasks.
- Good computer literacy and familiarity with systems.
- Knowledge of accounting systems and proven accounting knowledge.
- Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft packages; an Excel test may be required.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Friendly, positive attitude, reliable, and methodical with attention to detail.
- Team player with the ability to meet deadlines and multitask in a busy environment.
- An accounting & finance degree or AAT qualification, with experience in a regulated environment, is advantageous.
