We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Machinist to work a Double Day Shift pattern in Fareham.

Introduction

The primary role of the Machinist will be to operate large complex computerised machinery, log results and data, and work towards high quality standards.

Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and run large complex machinery.
Maintain high quality standards in product output.
Follow site health and safety procedures.
Participate in 5S methodology, ensuring work areas are clean, tidy, and compliant with HSE standards.

Ideal Experience

While full training will be provided due to the machinery\’s complexity, candidates should have previous machining experience, especially with computerised controls, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Knowledge of engineering drawings or manufacturing experience is advantageous.

The site uses semi-automated machinery with computerised controls, monitored and operated by Technicians, with extensive use of touch screens and controls.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn new skills and provides career progression opportunities. The company is looking for long-term team members eager to grow within the business.

Salary and Benefits

Salary including shift allowance: £32,476
Shift hours: Early Shift 06:00 – 14:00, Late Shift 14:00 – 22:00
Shift allowance
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
