Overview of the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the precise measuring and cutting of stainless-steel materials, working from detailed technical drawings. In addition to this, the role involves maintaining a well-organised metal storage area and ensuring a clean, efficient workspace.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating an automatic tube laser for cutting stainless-steel Box section/OD/NB Tube.
- Operating manual and automatic saws for cutting mainly stainless-steel solid.
- Interpret engineering drawings to determine correct cutting lengths and specifications.
- Measure and inspect materials to ensure compliance with technical requirements.
- Maintain accurate records by completing job documentation as required.
- Keep the metal storage area orderly, ensuring easy access and safe working practices.
- Adhere to company quality and safety standards whether on-site or within the factory.
- Support a culture of cleanliness, safety awareness, and punctuality within the team.
Person Profile:
- Experience in a manufacturing or metalworking environment.
- Competent in reading technical drawings and using measuring tools.
- Team player with a proactive approach to maintaining work standards.
- Willing to work at different sites as necessary.
Working Hours:
- Monday: 07:30 – 16:00
- Tuesday: 07:30 – 16:30
- Wednesday – Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00
- Friday: 07:30 – 12:00
Includes a 10-minute morning break at 10:00 and a 30-minute lunch break at 13:00.
Additional Information:
- Standard 39-hour week.
- Overtime regularly available, typically paid at time and a half (Monday to Saturday).
- Reasonable overtime participation is expected based on operational needs.
