McCarthy Stone is recruiting a professional Care & Support Assistant to join the team at our prestigious Gilbert Place development in Swindon, Wiltshire. Built in 2021, Gilbert Place is a Retirement Living Plus development that consists of 65 apartments designed for those over 70, providing excellent on-site facilities and set within beautiful grounds. This is not traditional care; this is better!
Hourly rate: £12.39 per hour, plus up to an additional £1.30 for working evening and weekend hours.

About the role: As a Care & Support Assistant, you will provide the highest quality individual care to our residents, enabling them to live well in later life. Your duties will include housekeeping and domestic support across the estate, including apartment cleans. You will support and encourage residents to participate in activities that promote their health and wellbeing, assist with booking appointments, arranging transport, escorting visits when necessary, and helping with shopping. Every day will be diverse, offering opportunities to make a real difference using your people skills.
About you: You will be a warm, friendly individual, ideally with some experience in a care or support environment. You will have a passion for enhancing the wellbeing and happiness of older people and enjoy working as part of a team in a busy setting. You will be committed to delivering excellent customer service. You will want to work in the Health and Social Care sector and preferably hold a QCF Health and Social Care (Adults) Level 2 qualification; however, consideration will be given to candidates with alternative qualifications and relevant experience.
