We are seeking an experienced Cloudera Architect for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Cloudera-based solutions to support enterprise-scale data platforms.
Key Responsibilities & Required Skills:
- Design and implement Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
- Strong Cloudera experience with expertise in Cloudera Data Platform (CDP), Cloudera Manager, and Cloudera Navigator.
- Strong knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, Impala, Spark, and Kafka.
- Strong AWS services/Architecture experience with hands-on expertise in cloud-based deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong Big Data experience, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, and streaming architectures.
- Strong Data Architecture and Solutions experience, collaborating with stakeholders to define big data architecture, data ingestion strategies, and governance frameworks.
- Optimize Hadoop ecosystem components to enhance data processing capabilities.
- Ensure best practices for data security, access controls, and compliance, including Kerberos, TLS, and Ranger policies.
- Lead migration projects from legacy platforms to Cloudera CDP.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks and platform-related issues.
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform is a plus.
- Strong scripting and programming skills (Python, Scala, Bash, SQL).
- Knowledge of data governance, GDPR, and compliance frameworks is advantageous.
- Work closely with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to streamline operations.
- Provide technical mentorship and knowledge sharing with internal teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
