Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust is a Specialist Mental Health Trust providing health services, substance misuse services, older adult mental health services, and psychological therapies to residents of Blackpool, Blackburn, Lancaster, Morecambe, Hyndburn, Ribble Valley, Burnley, Chorley, South Ribble, Preston, the West Lancashire of Ormskirk and Skelmersdale, and South Cumbria. The Trust also supplies low and medium secure care and forensic services.

Applications are invited for a Band 3 Administrator to provide a comprehensive secretarial administration and information service across the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to the SPCMHT, covering the Central and West Lancs locality, but is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the network's administrative service, providing cover to other departments across the Service as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of service provision.

Evidence of good general education is essential together with good communication skills and excellent organisational ability. Knowledge of working with the NHS will be an advantage, and computer skills are essential.

The successful candidate will require a mature, flexible approach and the ability to work within a busy team. They will be expected to use their own initiative and work unsupervised to ensure the effective coordination of duties.

Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.

The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria, and Sefton area.
