We are looking for a Scrum Master to join our IT Engineering Team in Milton Keynes. You will play a key role in leading a cultural shift towards adopting agile scrum methodologies across our software engineering delivery teams. You will be responsible for guiding the team in Agile best practices, helping to remove impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement, continuous flow of value, and consistent quality.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading assigned scrum teams, ensuring the team operates with Scrum values, empowering them to become high performing to increase productivity, transparency, frequency and quality of delivery.
- Act as the process owner for the team, maintaining the relationship with key stakeholders.
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making and conflict resolution within the team.
- Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings, and daily stand-ups.
- Coach team members in Agile Scrum frameworks.
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration.
- Work with external 3rd party vendors and be a point of contact.
- Work with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests.
- Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that occur.
- Help teams implement changes effectively.
- Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint, driving continuous improvement through the use of data.
Experience & skills required:
- Formal Agile / Scrum Master training or qualification.
- Experience in delivering change in agile software engineering environments.
- Experience in delivering technology in customer facing industries.
- Experience of delivering change across Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL, and cloud Azure.
- Ability to remove barriers and keep the team on track, share experiences and encourage collaboration.
- Demonstrable experience and working knowledge of a wide variety of Agile / Scrum tools and frameworks, inclusive of Jira and Confluence.
- Must be able to show passion and enthusiasm for Agile Principles and motivating teams.
- Must be able to lead, coach, and mentor software development teams on agile scrum delivery methodology.
- Excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence key stakeholders up to a senior level.
