Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance HVAC Mechanic will be responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures to maintain production and quality systems. This position is expected to perform diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments to the various Roof Top Units including Make-up Air Handlers and HVAC units. In addition, he/she may perform grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with Federal, State, Local, Hazmat, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain the facility rooftop units (HVAC and Make-Up Air Units) including PMs, Diagnostics, repairs, and adjustments.
- Maintain and repair production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
- May read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Perform a variety of basic plumbing maintenance, basic electrical maintenance, and basic carpentry functions.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- May help with snow removal in the winter.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Implement preventative maintenance measures.
- Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Complete inspections of facilities.
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
- Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Competencies:
- Leadership: provide direction, and training, monitor work, and provide performance feedback

- Experienced in operating various equipment, including snow blowers, lawnmowers, and small hand tools.

- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must hold a valid Massachusetts/EPA HVAC Certification (refrigerants)
- Three years of related experience
