Are you looking for a new challenge to develop your skills and knowledge? Interested in Respiratory and Critical Care? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Occupational Therapist to join our established Critical Care & Respiratory Rehabilitation team as a Band 7 Occupational Therapy Lead.
You will have the opportunity to develop the occupational therapy provision, utilizing your clinical and management experience within Respiratory Care and Critical Care specialties. Responsibilities include:
- Anxiety management
- Cognitive and functional assessments
- Energy conservation techniques
- Vocational rehab
- Stress management
You will also facilitate discharge planning to optimize patient outcomes. This role involves significant service development as it is a new position. You will provide clinical leadership and specialist occupational therapy at Colchester Hospital, managing a clinical caseload, conducting assessments, treatment sessions, and discharge planning.
Additionally, you will collaborate with Band 7 Physiotherapists on operational responsibilities and lead service development initiatives. You will be involved in audit and continuous improvement projects to enhance patient care.
If you demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, have experience supporting functional assessments and interventions in a multidisciplinary team, and have worked within respiratory or critical care, this role is suitable for you.
