We are excited to be recruiting for a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing motor groups. As a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the MOT testing, service, repair, and maintenance work for our customers' vehicles, readying them for the road ahead. Representing a variety of manufacturers and working on a diverse range of vehicles and models, you will take pride in your work, owning your tasks and completing jobs to the highest standards.
We are looking for candidates willing to train within the Manufacturer Franchise and eager to progress to Senior and Master Technician status. An average day as a MOT Motor Vehicle Technician:
- Report to the Service Manager, meeting franchise and company standards.
- Undertake maintenance, service, and repair activities on various vehicles.
- Work efficiently within scheduled times, adhering to standards.
- Diagnose faults, repair vehicles, and test components.
- Maintain records and provide quality reports for customers and manufacturers.
- Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
- Advise on vehicle faults and future servicing needs using Vehicle Health Checks and Video.
About You:
- Experience in an automotive technical role from any background.
- Qualified to Level 2 NVQ or equivalent, with an MOT Testers Licence.
- Excellent communication skills and thrive in challenging environments.
- Ability to work under pressure using your technical skills to overcome challenges.
- Electric and Hybrid vehicle certification is advantageous but not essential; full training provided.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Passionate about your work — the rest will follow.
